Privacy policy

Who This Policy Covers

This policy applies to everyone who enrolls in Master Makers, whether through the Live Cohort or the Self-Paced Course: parents and legal guardians who enroll a child, and adult students (18 or older) who enroll themselves. When the student is under 18, accounts, purchases, and communication are always with the parent or guardian a child never creates their own account, provides their own contact information, or completes a purchase directly.

By purchasing a course, you confirm either that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child being enrolled and that you consent to the collection and processing of their information as described in this policy, or that you are 18 or older and enrolling yourself.

Every form we ask you to complete the enrollment form, the capstone submission form, and the feedback forms is completed by a parent or legal guardian when the student is under 18, or by the adult student. Each form asks the person filling it in to confirm that they are 18 or older and are either the student's parent or legal guardian or the adult student themselves.

Children's Privacy

Master Makers is made for children as well as adults, so we take extra care with children's information. Children do not create accounts, sign up, or check out on our website themselves. Every account, purchase and form must be completed by a parent or legal guardian when the student is under 18.

•  We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child. The only details we hold about a child are the ones their parent or guardian gives us: the child's first name, their course progress, their creations, and (for the Live Cohort) the session recordings described below.

•  We never ask a child for their email address, phone number, home address, photo, or any other contact details.

•  We never sell children's information or use it for advertising or profiling.

•  If we learn that a child under 18 has created an account or placed an order without a parent or guardian, we will close that account and delete the child's information.

Parents and guardians can review, correct, or ask us to delete their child's information at any time using the contact details at the end of this policy.

What We Collect

•  The account holder's name (the parent/guardian, or the adult student), email address, phone number, and shipping address (for checkout, order confirmation, and shipping)

•  Payment information, handled directly by our payment processors (Shopify Payments and Ziina) and never stored by us directly

•  The student's first name (a child's, or an adult student's own), provided on the enrollment form in the course area after purchase and again on the capstone form we do not separately ask for or require a child's age, grade, or other identifying details, and a child volunteering such information themselves (e.g., in a live session) is not something we request or retain beyond the session itself

•  Capstone submissions (Live Cohort, UAE only): the submitter's name and enrollment email, a link to the student's final TinkerCAD design, a preferred print color, and a delivery name, UAE address, and phone number so we can print and ship it

•  Live session recordings (video and audio) for Live Cohort students, for the duration described below

•  Photos of student creations, submitted or captured as part of course participation

•  Course progress and quiz results, recorded by the course platform as a student works through lessons and quizzes

•  Feedback form responses, submitted after course completion the feedback forms are anonymous and do not ask for a name, email address, or any contact details

Session Recordings

Live Cohort sessions are recorded solely so that students who miss a session can catch up. After each session, the recording is added to the cohort's Session Recordings section in the members area, where only enrolled students signed in to their account can watch it. Each recording stays available until 3 days after that cohort's final session  the same window as capstone submissions, so a student who misses one of the final sessions can still catch up purely for enrolled students' convenience.

Automatic Deletion

Once that 3-day window closes, access to the cohort's course area ends and every recording from the cohort is permanently deleted, including the original recording files and any copy held on another service we use. No archive is kept beyond that.

Photos, Creations & Marketing Use

A student's face is never used in marketing, promotional material, or anywhere else without specific, separate consent from their parent or legal guardian for a child, or from the student themselves for an adult student.

Photos of what a student builds may be used as course examples or in promotional material. Where a creation doesn't identify a specific child no face, no full name, nothing that points to who made it we don't consider that image to be the child's personal data, and it isn't something this policy's data rights apply to. Where a creation does clearly identify a specific child (for example, a piece engraved with their full name), it's treated the same as a photo of the child themselves, and isn't used without separate consent.

If a family tags or shares their own content publicly showing their child using or holding what they made, and includes Makeen 3D, we may reshare that content doing so is treated as consent given directly by the guardian who chose to share it.

Newsletter & Marketing Emails

Account holders (parents/guardians, or adult students) are not automatically subscribed to our email newsletter subscribing requires an active opt-in, whether by checking the box at checkout or through the signup form in the website footer. You can opt in or out at any time; opting out is available via the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email.

Course emails order and enrollment confirmations, receipts, weekly progress updates, and the post-course feedback request are not marketing. By enrolling in a course you agree to receive them, and they are sent through Tevello, Sender, and our separate no-reply address regardless of newsletter subscription status, as they relate directly to a course you've purchased and are how we deliver it (see the Course Emails section of our Terms of Service).

Shipping

UAE Only

Physical products including free Live Cohort capstone prints and any 3D Printing Service orders are currently only available to customers located in the United Arab Emirates. Shipping addresses are collected specifically to fulfill UAE deliveries. We do not currently ship physical products internationally, and physical print products are not available for purchase from outside the UAE.

How Long We Keep Information

•  Session recordings: deleted permanently 3 days after each cohort's final session (see above)

•  Enrollment and capstone form responses: deleted once the cohort has ended and its capstone prints have been delivered

•  Order and customer records: kept indefinitely for our own business records, but with any information identifying the enrolled child removed once the course is completed

•  Photos of student creations: kept indefinitely, as these support ongoing marketing use under the terms described above

•  Feedback form responses: kept indefinitely to inform future course development

Your Rights

You can ask us, at any time, to:

•  Delete your child's identifying information from our records after their course has finished (adult students can ask the same for their own information)

•  Stop using a specific photo of your child's creation (or your own, for adult students) in marketing, where that photo identifies the student specifically (see above for what qualifies)

Contact support@makeen3d.com for either of these. This is separate from, and doesn't affect, any refund or cancellation request, which is covered by our separate Refund Policy.

Cookies & Analytics

Our website uses standard analytics and advertising tools (such as Meta, TikTok, or Google) to understand how people use our site and to reach potential customers. These tools run across makeen3d.com, including the pages where our courses are delivered, and may record activity such as pages viewed and purchases made. Because every account and purchase belongs to an adult, this activity is linked to the account holder, and we do not use it to build behavioral profiles of children or to target advertising at children.
